Perla Daou is the Lead Communications Officer at Badil | The Alternative Policy Institute. Her background includes strategic communication and digital strategy, enabling her to develop cohesive and effective communication plans. Concurrently, she teaches health and environmental communication at the Lebanese American University (LAU). Specialising in ecomedia literacy, critical media literacy, and critical pedagogy, she integrates innovative teaching methods into Lebanese classrooms. Her recent publication addresses media literacy’s impact on countering COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and conspiracy theories. She has also published work on advancing sustainability in media education through ecomedia literacy.
